Thomas Jefferson Reconsidered with Author Gary Midkiff

Thomas Jefferson was a great American who authored the Declaration of Independence, and as President, advocated for the Louisiana Purchase, which many historians regard as the singular most important Presidential decision in U.S. history. He also owned slaves. This discussion will try to put into perspective his career beginning in 1776 and his complicated perspective on slavery.
