What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)?
As your needs change over time, a continuing care retirement community gives you the confidence of knowing long-term care is available on site at predictable costs. We offer a range of levels of living for financial security and peace of mind.
CloseWhat levels of living are provided at Covenant Living of Northbrook?
Senior living at Covenant Living of Northbrook means living independently while having on-site access to a comprehensive menu of health care services and long-term care. We meet the needs of our residents by providing the following levels of living:
- Residential Living
- Assisted Living
- Assisted Living with Memory Support
- Skilled Nursing
- Rehabilitation
Who determines the proper transition plan should a resident need to move to another level in the Continuum of Care?
Level-of-care decisions are determined by a collaborative team including the physician, nurse, administration, resident, family and campus staff.
CloseWho is primarily responsible for health care and medical services at Covenant Living of Northbrook?
The Health Care Administrator is responsible for the Health Care center. The Director of Nursing oversees the nursing care.
CloseWhat level of living is provided in Independent Living residences?
You can use an agency to provide home health and private duty services in your residence. We primarily rely on Covenant Care at Home to provide home health care.
CloseHow does my Primary Care Physician fit into my health care program at Covenant Living of Northbrook?
Your Primary Care Physician may be part of your health care team. It is up to individual physicians to decide whether they will continue to treat patients who become health care residents of Covenant Living of Northbrook.
CloseWhat happens if a resident requires hospitalization?
The campus team works with the hospital discharge planner after any hospitalization to provide any care and services a resident may need.
CloseIs there a pharmacy at Covenant Living of Northbrook?
We do not have a pharmacy on campus, but delivery service is available.
CloseKeep in mind, you do not have to be a current resident of our senior community to benefit from our Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing or short-term Rehabilitation services, nor will you have to pay an entrance fee to enter one of the areas noted above. In our short-term Rehabilitation program, we accept Medicare, private pay, and in-network providers for a number of managed care and Medicare Advantage programs.
